It took a lot of work to select the Best trackball for CAD software users. We review some great products and are happy to inform you that the Kensington K64325 model is the winner. It deserves the position. Let’s have a look at the vital point of this mouse-

Ambidextrous design: We can equally use the mouse with the right and left hands.

Size of the ball: Yes, we already know that the larger the ball size, the less rotation it needs to move the cursor throughout the screen. So we found that the Best trackball mouse should have a giant ball.

Scroll Ring: Another brilliant invention is the scroll ring of the mouse. By Spinning the dial, we can move up and down any web page or document with complete ease. I like this feature very much.

Best thumb-operated – Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse

Best thumb-operated and Gaming - Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse

The Best trackball for CAD software users comes from Logitech, whose model number is M570. Ergonomic Design with Sculpted Right-hand Shape, the model is compatible with Apple Mac and Microsoft Windows Computers, USB Unifying Receiver, Though this model is for right-handed users only. It will not work on the left hand.

The Logitech M570 Trackball Wireless Mouse prioritizes comfort and ergonomics above all else. Trackball design takes some time, but this mouse will give you long-term comfort if you are accustomed to the single-input interface.

We were surprised by how much we liked the Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse. It looks unusual and bulky and takes some time to master, but once we got acquainted with the new input shape, it became clear why this mouse has an almost cult following. It’s the most comfortable mouse out there, and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, either.

The blue ball is a small one when compared to other trackballs. This will mean it has to rotate further to get the cursor to move the same distance as a giant ball. When playing games, you may find that more than one thumb rotation will be necessary to get across the screen. This trackball is wireless and requires an AA battery to operate.

Logitech M570 is relatively easy to clean out the ball area. Use a pen-sized blunt to push the trackball out of the enclosure with a click.

During gaming use, the Logitech M570 trackball is hard to beat. It is far better than a standard mouse and much more comfortable once your muscle memory is established. I highly recommend this trackball mouse.

It takes time to get used to, but the thumb is the most elegant finger you have, and it makes for some tremendously precise moves to and select operations that wouldn’t be as easy to do with a mouse.

Depending on your hand size, you may have to adjust how you place your hand on this trackball. Again it takes practice to get your muscles used to doing these movements after being used to a regular mouse. Few more best trackball mice for gaming

Budget finger-operated – Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse with Scroll Ring

Budget finger-operated trackball - Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse with Scroll Ring

Kensington makes a good trackball. But this isn’t Kensington’s top-notch product, so I had some reservations about buying it. During the research time, I read some bad things about the touch scroll wheel but decided to purchase and check it. And we found some exciting something.

We know the configuration software is essential; you probably won’t be satisfied with its default performance. I like to crank up sensitivity. Once we did all the tweaking.

I was happy with the feel of the trackball. It feels smooth. The touch scroll wheel works flawlessly for me, whether scrolling a page or making short movements. I might even like it more than a mouse scroll wheel, but it’s a bit early.

It has the essentials: an on/off switch, an easily removable trackball, and a receiver holder in the battery compartment. The mouse doesn’t have a premium feel, but it doesn’t necessarily feel cheap.

The surface is a dust magnet. Straight out of the package, it has a lot of micro-scratches all over the body. It leaves the mouse with a cheap aesthetic up close, but these imperfections aren’t noticeable at arms-length.

Two buttons oppose each other on either side of the mouse that functions as left and right clicks. It is a little awkward to click them because you are using your thumb and ring finger. It may take some getting used to.

That’s all I have to say. I’m surprised this product isn’t mentioned more often. It is a solid trackball for those just starting with trackballs or looking for something small. In my opinion, trackballs are much better than traditional computer mice. They feel much more precise and don’t require any wrist movement. After using one for a while, you won’t go back.

What Are The Differences Between Various Trackball Mice?

There are two significant types of trackball mice. One is thumb-operated, and the other is finger-operated. Besides this, we found variety in functionality, size, and comfort level.

Thumb-operated trackballs position the ball directly under the thumb, while the rest looks like a standard mouse. The index and ring finger rests on the left-right buttons with a scroll wheel in the middle. Typically, these devices are meant for right-handed users unless otherwise specified.

On the other hand, finger-operated trackballs situate a giant ball between the index and middle fingers. Large button pads are usually located around the ball, with a scroll ring set around the ball’s circumference for easy web page navigation.

For both finger and thumb-operated trackballs, mice minimize the damage caused to sensitive muscles.
