Let’s discuss the Janome 2212 Sewing Machine
12 Built-In Stitches
The Janome 2212 sewing machine comes with 12 built-in stitches, including a straight stitch, buttonhole stitch, decorative stitch, zigzag stitch, and reverse stitch. You will find all of the stitches at the top of the machines and dials help you to choose the stitches from the list. You can able to change the length of the stitch up to 4mm and the width up to 5mm with another dialer next to this dialer.
Two Needle Positions
The Janome 2212 sewing machine also comes with Two Needle Positions. This machine has the ability to put the needle in two different positions depending on the project you’re working on. Being able to put the needle in one of two positions means that the stitch will remain smooth on fabrics of different thicknesses, weaves, and weights. When working on the sheerest or heaviest fabrics, this feature will also cut the chances of skipped stitches or thread and bobbin jams.
Front Loading Bobbin
The Janome 2212 comes with a front-loading bobbin. It allows you easy access and a push-and-pull bobbin winder that makes threading a breeze. The Janome 2212 sewing machine took all the frustrations out of having to slide open the plate to access the bobbin or having to remove the bobbin entirely to wind it.
Automatic Feed Dog
The Janome 2212 comes with an Automatic Feed Dog that allows for free-motion stitching and quilting. The feed dogs work automatically. When the sewing machine is in operation it moves to the upward position and stays in this position while sewing. On the other hand, it always is down when the machine is not in use or when in storage. In order to access the drop feed feature, you must remove the accessories case and open the bobbin door.
A reverse stitch is a great feature to have in a sewing machine. In Janome 2212, you will also get a Reverse stitch option, what you have to do is just switch on the face of the machine just above the needle to get access.
The needle plate is not just where you place your project when you’re ready to start sewing, it can also help you with measurements. The needle plate on the Janome 2212 sewing machine has measurements and seam guides etched on both sides of the needle.
The Janome 2212 sewing machine also comes with a lamp that lights up the work area. This feature makes your work area quite bright to give you a great sewing experience at night and ensures you’re sewing a straight line. If there is a jam or a problem, you can also easily see what caused it.
